Hero Homes is a nonprofit organization that builds houses for wounded veterans returning home from active duty. With the help of volunteers, fund raising, and local businesses, we were able to provide these homes entirely free of charge to the new home owners.

In the few years I volunteered at Hero Homes I was a part of multiple projects at different stages of the building process. Every volunteer had a hand in every aspect of the construction of the homes. One of my favorite responsibilities was being the Bobcat operator. Using the Bobcat I helped level the site, dump gravel to backfill the foundations, and clear the site of obstructions.
